Install the same app version

Use the installed DWNwire app on the operator and each coach device. Confirm that all devices have the same version before starting.

Join one local network

Connect every device to the same non-guest router Wi-Fi and allow Local Network access. The operator hosts the session and must keep the app open.

Start and connect

Start or resume the game in Operator mode. Coaches choose Coach, enter their name and scan the operator’s current QR inside DWNwire.

Check replay and voice before kickoff

Wait for Buffer ready, save a practice play and review it on coach devices. Allow microphone access and test Hold to Talk before game time.

BASEBALL HELP

More answers for your staff.

How can my program try DWNwire Baseball?

Open the TestFlight invitation on your iPhone or iPad and follow Apple’s installation steps. Contact DWNwire if you have questions about access.

When will it be on the App Store?

Official release is planned for the pilot season. The current invitation is for prerelease testing through TestFlight.

How much does it cost?

Contact DWNwire to discuss release plans, pricing and access for your program.

How do I send feedback?

Email hello@dwnwire.com, use the contact form and select Baseball prerelease feedback, or use TestFlight feedback. The app’s Help section can copy diagnostic details for you to paste into your feedback; copying them does not send a message.

What does full-game scoring include?

Record both teams, review play details, manage runner actions and substitutions, and review the scorecard. At bat and On deck remain separate from the player selected for Tendencies.

How is opponent scouting different?

Record only the observations you see. Scouting history and contact tendencies describe that sample; they do not invent complete game or season totals.

What batting-order formats are available?

Standard uses nine batting slots. Continuous can include every available player for applicable league formats. The app separates DH batting participation from defensive-only players; advanced eligibility and re-entry decisions remain coach-controlled.

What if I miss a contact detail?

Keep the type or location Unknown. A valid observation can be saved without inventing missing details. The optional missing-contact review lets you correct recorded contact metadata later.

How should I read the tendencies?

Read the source, sample size and missing-data counts first. Pull, Center, Opposite and contact-type summaries use the relevant known observations. Filter by recorded pitcher hand when useful; observations are not predictions.

Can I correct a scorecard entry?

Tap a plate-appearance diamond to open a correction. The batter column remains visible as innings scroll, and Current inning jumps to the active inning.

Can I export reports or back up my data?

Scorecard and batter reports offer PDF and Excel previews with Save to Files / Share. A separate JSON data backup supports restore; a report is not a restorable backup.

Does the app need an account or a game-day server?

The current Baseball build stores data on the device and does not add an account or network service. Installation, updates and sending feedback are separate from local scoring and scouting.

FOOTBALL HELP

More answers for your staff.

Can my school program use DWNwire now?

DWNwire Football is currently available to invited school programs through an invitation-only beta. Contact us to ask about participation and your program’s setup.

When will DWNwire be publicly available?

Public release is coming soon. A release date has not been announced. Contact us to express interest and ask about access.

How much does DWNwire cost?

Contact DWNwire to discuss pricing and access for your program.

How can beta programs share feedback?

Use the contact form and select Current beta feedback, or email hello@dwnwire.com. Include the app version, Operator or Coach role, device model and OS, what happened and what you expected. Please leave out identifying student information.

Does DWNwire need internet during a game?

Football iOS is designed to operate over a local router network without internet or a cloud voice server. Operator and coach devices join the same router Wi-Fi. Installation and updates are separate from game-day connectivity.

Do operators and coaches both install the app?

Yes. The native workflow uses the installed DWNwire app on the operator and each coach device, all running the same version. Choose Operator on the camera device and Coach on coach devices.

How does a coach join?

Join the operator’s non-guest router Wi-Fi, enter your coach name and scan the current operator QR inside DWNwire. Allow Local Network access and camera access for scanning. Keep DWNwire open on the operator device.

How much recent action can I replay?

Choose a 20- or 30-second rolling buffer. Wait for Buffer ready before tapping End Play to save recent action. The buffer needs time to fill when capture starts or restarts.

Can I export saved plays?

Saved clips can be copied to Photos with permission. Game export provides individual MP4 clips in play order and a Play-details.csv file, with all, filtered or selected-play options. Automatic import of tagging data into Hudl is not verified.

Does voice require installing certificates?

Native Operator and Coach modes do not require Safari certificate profiles or Certificate Trust setup. Native voice includes channels, private talk and Hold to Talk. Allow microphone and Local Network access. The optional legacy Safari voice route has separate HTTPS requirements.

What devices does my program need?

The Football iOS app has Operator and Coach roles for iPhone and iPad. The app’s minimum OS target is iOS/iPadOS 16.0. Contact us to confirm a suitable device and network setup for your program; a minimum OS target does not guarantee suitability for every model.

Does it record the entire game or track plays with AI?

No. DWNwire Football uses a rolling replay buffer and saved clips rather than full-game recording. Camera framing uses manual PTZ controls; automatic AI tracking is not included.
